Les’ outlook on life was extremely positive, he has been able to accomplish so much and has an extremely positive outlook on life despite facing the daily challenges of having only one arm. His belief that no matter how hard you have it, there is always someone who has it worse, really is an idea I can use. Even at the age of 7 and having such a tragic accident he was able to look at the kid in the iron lung and think at least I don’t have it that bad.
Les is a very smart man with the loss of his arm and partial use of four fingers he still managed to accomplish a lot and be happy with his life. He was a builder, President of the Rotary and has contributed a lot to the community. He made me think about the fact that he is happy with himself; I know that I would feel desperate if I only had one arm. Les doesn’t see this as a problem; he knows that the energy you put out is more important than what you look like. It was cool to hear that he had friends that helped him if anyone tried to bully him in school. Thanks Les.
Les Lengyel is a well known brilliant man, that accomplished countless things. I was extremely amazed how he lost all of his left arm and lost four fingers, I liked how he was very positive but even though he could be considered ‘handicapped’ he didn’t think of himself that way and found out that he inspires other disabled
people to do what they believe in. I was astonished how he moved past his bankruptcy and that he was motivated to move on in his life.
i would really like to send my thanks to les because i had a great time talking to him and because ive never had reasurance of my fathers ampuitation till i saw how well les did with what happend to him and i think thats an amazing thing to see.
i thought it was interesting when you told us that if you treat some one the way they want to be treated then they will treat you the same way as you want to be
It was inspiring to meet Les; I take away his can do attitude; to focus on what you can do; not what you ‘can’t’ and to remember that the energy you put out is much more important than appearance, thanks Les!
